\nI went for a swim in the Marina pool at dawn. What a great way to start my birthday!
\nWe left early, headed north up the ICW. I messaged my high school (and middle school) classmate who lives in Vero Beach and asked her to call me. We were headed to Vero Beach for the night. We needed to find a marina so that we could plug into shore power. Our alternator was charging intermittently, not a good thing!
\nMartha arranged for us to stay at the Quail Valley River Club. Wow! What a great place! Our dock was steps away from the pool and the tiki bar. We were given a guest card, and we could use the pool, restaurant, etc…. I immediately did the most logical thing. I put on my bathing suit, ordered a frozen rum drink, and settled in at the pool under a palm tree. My idea of paradise, especially since it was my birthday.
\nJust before 6pm, Martha arrived for the nickel tour of our boat. Then we were off to the Polo Grill for a delicious dinner. Yeah for Martha for such a great day!!!
